The TeenLine helpline provides telephone support and information to young individuals who need to talk. This is a national helpline service operating in Dublin 7 days a week from 8-11pm.
Volunteers will ensure that all calls to the TeenLine helpline are conducted within the framework of the Helpline Approach. Each volunteer is fully trained to facilitate all calls to the helpline by allowing clarification, consideration of options and encouraging positive action while adhering to TeenLine's policies and procedures.
A helpline volunteer will have empathy and good communication skills, have an ability to take direction and possess enthusiasm, passion and energy. The helpline volunteer must be respectful of others and be willing to make a commitment to volunteering with TeenLine.
